When Ankita Lokhande was in the Bigg Boss 17 house, the actress often mentioned her ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput on the show. At that time, she was accused of using the late actor's name for the sake of sympathy. Ankita's mother-in-law also felt the actress used his name to gain sympathy. However, the actress clarified that she only mentioned Sushant because her fellow contestant, Abhishek Kumar, considered him his inspiration.

In an interview with ETimes TV, Ankita Lokhande reacted to allegations of using Sushant Singh Rajput's name to gain sympathy. The actress said that she doesn't need anyone's fan following. And she doesn't require anyone's permission if she wishes to talk about someone.

Ankita added that she discussed Sushant on Bigg Boss 17 as her fellow contestant Abhishek Kumar said he wanted to become like SSR, whom he considers his 'inspiration'. She also mentioned that if a person has done something nice in his or her life, she would discuss the same.

The Pavitra Rishta actress further stated, "Mere husband (Vicky Jain) ko koi problem nahi hain. I'm not answerable to people."

Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput's relationship

It's well known that Ankita Lokhande and Sushant Singh Rajput fell in love on the set of their television show, Pavitra Rishta, which aired on Zee TV. The couple was in a committed relationship for six years. They had even planned to get married but the duo soon called it quits. Unfortunately, Sushant passed away in 2020. 

After her break-up with Sushant, Ankita started dating Vicky Jain. Following their relationship for a few years, the couple got married in December 2021. They were recently seen together on Bigg Boss 17.

Meanwhile, Ankita Lokhande's BB 17 journey was nothing less than a roller coaster ride. She witnessed several highs and lows on the show with her husband, Vicky. At one point, her personal life was heavily discussed on national TV after her mother-in-law schooled her for hitting Vicky. Nevertheless, all is well between Ankita and Vicky now.
