Merry Christmas: Sanjay Kapoor joins Katrina Kaif, Vijay Sethupathi in Sriram Raghavan's film

Sanjay Kapoor will reportedly be seen next with Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi in Sriram Raghavan's film Merry Christmas.

A source close to the film told entertainment outlet Pinkvilla that the actor will play "an extremely important role" that has "multiple layers", but the details of his character have been kept under wraps. Kapoor will begin shooting in April. 

The source said that Kaif and Sethupathi are currently filming in Mumbai and will then move on to Pune for another schedule.

Kapoor's last feature film outings were The Zoya Factor and Mission Mangal. He currently stars in the Netflix thriller series The Fame Game along with Madhuri Dixit Nene. 

Kapoor has also been a part of several OTT series including The Gone Game (Voot), The Last Hour (Amazon Prime Video) and the Netflix anthology Lust Stories.

"In mainstream cinema, stories of middle-aged people never found a space the way it does here on OTT. We, actors of my age, are actually getting a chance to showcase our talent," Kapoor had previously told IANS.

Meanwhile, the actor's daughter Shanaya is set to make her big-screen debut with Dharma Productions' Bedhadak, which also stars Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada. The film is written and directed by Shashank Khaitan.
