In times where a veteran actor Paresh Rawal quits an iconic film franchise like Hera Pheri 3 quoting lack of script and clarity, there's a new revelation. This time, it is about Anurag Basu's casting process. An actor from Metro In Dino has confirmed Basu's shocking casting process. Read on...
Metro In Dino actor Rohan Gurbaxani, while talking to Mid-Day, exposed how Anurag Basu casts his actors for roles. There is no auditioning or script in place. Rohan was over-the-moon to be cast in the role over a FaceTime call. "This is how he works, very organic and personal. It’s just him narrating the story. Dada also says, ‘Trust me, I know my process is a little different. It’s a little nerve-wracking, but we will make something great," Rohan said.
Days after quitting Hera Pheri 3 out-of-the-blue, Paresh Rawal had revealed through his lawyers that he had stepped out of the movie because he did not receive a clear script and had to work with what could be counted as WhatsApp messages. The actor quoted that he was unable to work without any clarity about the movie, and thus, he decided to step out of the film.
Starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ali Fazal, Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi, Konkona Sen Sharma, Anupam Kher and Saswata Chatterjee in the lead roles, Metro In Dino is touted to be the sequel of Life In A Metro. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on July 4, 2025.
Priyadarshan’s Hera Pheri 3 is still on hold after Paresh Rawal, who plays the iconic character of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte in the film, quit the movie. The film stars Akshay Kumar, Rawal and Suniel Shetty as the iconic trio of Raju, Baburao and Shyam. Kumar, who serves as the producer of the movie, has moved court against Rawal but there is no clear update as of now.
