The trailer of Metro... In Dino was released today, June 4. At the trailer launch event, director Anurag Basu opened up about the film and said that it is a tribute to Irrfan Khan and singer KK.

Metro... In Dino is a spiritual sequel to Anurag Basu's Life in a... Metro. The film stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Konkona Sensharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, and Neena Gupta in lead roles as it covers 4 love stories. The trailer of the film was released today, June 4, and at the trailer launch event, Basu revealed that the whole Metro.. In Dino is a tribute to the late singer KK and the late actor Irrfan Khan.

As we know, Life in a... Metro stars Irrfan Khan in a key role, while the late singer KK lent his voice to some of the greatest songs. Naturally, these two artists are being missed in Metro... In Dino. Reacting to this, Anurag Basu said in the trailer launch event that the whole film is a tribute to them.
He said, "The whole film is a tribute to KK and Irrfan. So we all miss them. I was talking to Bhushan Kumar that Pritam's composition is greatly complemented by KK, the kind of scale he makes. So yeah, the songs are great. You know, KK not only sang in my Metro films but all my movies. So obviously I miss him and we are missing him."

Apart from the lead cast, fans were visibly missing KK's presence in the film. They loved Arijit Singh and Pritam's collaboration. One fan said, "Zamana Lage already Loop Arijit Singh & Pritam." Another commented, "A proper Bollywood movie. Keeping my fingers crossed for this one. Please heal this industry."
