Michael: HERE's what director Ranjit Jeyakodi has to say about the audience feedback; meanwhile the Sundeep Kishan film leaks online!

The neo noir action crime thriller Michael starring Sundeep Kishan and Vijay Sethupathi, hit screens last Friday and has been receiving mixed reviews at the box office. The film is directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi, who had earlier helmed films like Puriyaatha Puthir and Yaarukkum Anjael. The director took to his social media handle and thanked the audience for their feedback. He wrote, " As all of my films Michael is also close to my heart, that I have put 100% effort in it. There is no movie that satisfies everyone, for every individual there are different likes and dislikes. For the people who liked 'I am glad it worked for you' , for the people for whom it does not work 'I will work hard for my next and give a film that satisfies you too'. My respect for every view and opinion (sic)."

Michael is a gangster saga set in the 1990s who treads a thin path in the underworld along with his love life. The rest of the star cast includes Divyansha Kaushik, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Anish Kuruvilla, Varun Sandesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Ravi Varma. The film was released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The crime thriller is jointly produced by Karan C Productions and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas.

In the meantime, we hear that the film has already leaked online on a number of piracy sites, that too within hours of release, much to the chagrin of the makers. The makers are likely to take action against the same.  Piracy has become a menace for the film industry with months and years of hard work going down the drain.

Though Ranjit Jeyakodi is yet to plan his next, Sundeep Kishan has got busy working in Captain Miller along with Dhanush. The film is also set to be an action-packed entertainer and is helmed by Arun Matheswaran, who had earlier directed Saani Kaayidham.
