The series has not released any trailer yet but has revealed the basic premise. It is midsummer, the longest day of the year. Of course, there is going to be a party, a big family get together and frolicking together to celebrate the warmth and resurgence of life. Romance is in the air as well. But it is also the day Carina and Johannes are going to tell their friends and family a massive secret, one that may have unforeseen consequences.
The show will explore the concepts of love, life, marriage, relationships, betrayal, hopes, dreams, jealousy, and forgiveness. Midsummer Night will also explore the secret parallel lives of people we have known all our lives lead. The limited Norwegian show highlights how we never truly know the people around us or those we have grown up with. They are just one secret away from making a revelation that may either shatter families or bring them together.
After hit Norwegian projects on Netflix like Ragnarök and Christmas As Usual, Midsummer Night shall have little trouble in carving a niche in the heart of a global audience. The show has a promising family drama premise with hints of humor, dark secrets, and endless brunch that is sure to captivate viewers.
