Actor-filmmaker Prem is yet to announce the release date of his next directorial, KD – The Devil, which has Dhruva Sarja and Reeshma Nanaiah in the lead, but he’s making sure that there are timely updates from the team to ensure there’s a good buzz going for the film. After the first song Shiva Shiva, the hook step of which went viral, Prem released the second song, Setagalla, composed by Arjun Janya and sung by Mika Singh.
This time, Prem went with a lyrical video, the visuals of which were mostly a music video of Mika Singh in action, along with Arjun and Shivamani on drums. The lead pair, Dhruva and Reeshma, also busted a few moves, but this time around, there were no visuals from the actual song. In fact, Prem is hoping that talented dancers will come up with their own choreography and hook steps for the song, which he wants them to share with him and the best one may just make it into the final version. The song will be shot at a foreign location.
Produced by KVN Productions, no expense was spared on the music of KD, said Arjun at the song launch. “Getting Mika Singh to sing is a costly affair, and KVN went ahead and got him to do the song in all 5 versions – Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. Prem was also adamant that we give the same quality to all the other language versions as the Kannada original.
A period drama set in the 70s and 80s, KD’s star cast includes the likes of Sanjay Dutt, Shilpa Shetty, V Ravichandran and Ramesh Aravind, while Norah Fatehi has a special number. Cinematography is by William David, while Mohan B Kere is the art director. The team had earlier revealed that the audio rights of KD had been picked up by Anand Audios for Rs 18 crore.
