Mike Hagerty, who plays building manager Mr Treeger in the epic show F.R.I.E.N.D.S, passes away at 67

Actor Mike Hagerty, known for his roles in the show Friends and HBO's Somebody, Somewhere, has passed away at the age of 67. The news of his sudden demise was shared by his co-star Bridget Everett who plays the role of Mike's daughter in Somebody Somewhere. She shared an image of the actor on Instagram and penned an emotional note. 

The actor passed away in Los Angeles. Posting a few images of the character actor, she wrote in her note: "With great sadness, the family of Michael G. Hagerty announced his death yesterday in Los Angeles. A beloved character actor, his love of his hometown of Chicago and his family were the cornerstones of his life. Mike, a devoted husband, is survived by his wife Mary Kathryn, his sister Mary Ann Hagerty, her wife Kathleen O’Rourke, and their daughter Meg. He will be sorely missed."

He breathed his last on April 29. The cause of his death is unknown. Everett also shared a few throwback images featuring them and wrote about him. She said she loved him the moment she met him and that he was warm and funny. "We are devastated he has passed. Mike was adored by the entire cast and crew of Somebody Somewhere. Our thoughts are with his wife and family (sic),” reads her further note.

Mike was part of the TV series F.R.I.E.N.D.S. He played the role of the building manager, Mr Treeger in the series. He was the supervisor of the apartment of Rachel and Monica, and Chandler and Joey. He is most remembered for the episode where the heater does not work and everybody gets all sweaty during their party to celebrate the holidays and practicing a dance sequence with Joey. Apart from F.R.I.E.N.D.S. and Somebody Somewhere, Mike was also seen in Seinfeld and Overboard.
