On Thursday, the team of actor-director Darling Krishna’s next, Love Me or Hate Me, got off to an official launch with a puja at a temple in Bengaluru. Actress Milana Nagaraj, who is Krishna’s wife, sounded the first clap to mark the launch of the film that will pair the latter with Rachita Ram. Love Me or Hate Me, a film that borrows its title from a popular Kannada song from matinee idol Rajkumar’s Shankar Guru, is the directorial debut of Deepak Gangadhar, who’s worked as an associate with Thoogudeepa Productions.

While the title of was announced earlier this year, Krishna subsequently got busy with his wedding and just before the film could go on floors the second wave of the pandemic struck. Since shootings resumed, the actor has been finishing off his other acting commitments, like Sugar Factory and Srikrishna@gmail.com, apart from his own directorial Love Mocktail 2. His co-star Rachita was also busy with other films and now that both their schedules have freed up, the team of Love Me or Hate Me have decided to get rolling. According to an Indian Express report, the narrative will follow two timelines – one set in present day and another on a college campus in 2015.

Composer Sridhar Sambhram has been roped in for the film’s music and he had posted on social media that actual shooting will begin after Ganesha Chaturthi festivities on September 13. The team is apparently also on the lookout for an actress to fill in as the second lead.
