Milap Zaveri all set to direct Masti 4 with Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani? Here’s what we know

The last few months have witnessed a bunch of films’ sequels trying their luck at the box office. Prominent amongst them was ‘Gadar 2’, which was the sequel of ‘Gadar’. Right from the word go, ‘Gadar 2’ had all the makings of a potential blockbuster. The response for ‘Gadar 2’ has been so much that the box office collections of the sequel surpassed that of the film’s first part. Around that time, one also saw ‘OMG 2’, which happened to be the sequel of the runaway hit ‘OMG – Oh My God!’. This time too, the film ‘OMG 2’ (controversies notwithstanding), went on to do decent business at the box office. Besides them, one also saw the release of ‘Fukrey 3’, and ‘Dream Girl 2’, both being the sequels and both doing decent business at the box-office window.

The adult comedy 'Masti' to have a sequel?

The latest film to be having its sequel made is ‘Masti’! You guessed it right! It’s the same adult comedy film ‘Masti’ which starred the ‘naughty trio’ of Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani. As per a source-based report in Box Office Worldwide, it's being reported that, the filmmaker Milap Zaveri is now all set to don the director’s cap with ‘Masti 4’ (the reported title of the film). The said report also added that, while Milap Zaveri will be directing the film ‘Masti 4’, it will star the trio of Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani, just like their previous films.

The 'Masti-verse' so far!

For the unversed, after the release of ‘Masti’, the film’s makers then went on to make ‘Grand Masti’ and ‘Great Grand Masti’ in the same ‘premise’. The said news report stated that, ‘Masti 4’ will be more funnier and bolder than the previous films (as mentioned above) and that the film will also star new actresses who will be paired with the three lead actors (Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani). As per the report, the film will be going on the floors by the beginning of the next year (2024). Attempts to reach Milap Zaveri to confirm the story prove futile.
