The first poster of the upcoming film Mili, starring Bollywood star Janhvi Kapoor is released on Wednesday. The film is produced by her father and veteran film producer Boney Kapoor, under the banner Bayview Projects.

Since it is the first time that Janhvi is working with her father Boney Kapoor, it would be quite interesting to see how the father-daughter also actor and producer collaborate professionally and deliver a successful project in the future.

The poster shows Janhvi with a vivacious smile, and she is playing a 24-year-old student named Mili Naudiyal, a graduate of nursing. The film is also featuring Sunny Kaushal and Manoj Pahwa. While Sunny is playing the boyfriend of Mili in the film, Manoj plays Janhvi's on-screen father.

This film is an official remake of the Malayalam film titled Helen released in 2019, and featured Anna Ben and Noble Babu Thomas as protagonists.

The story of the film revolves around a young girl who one day incidentally got stuck in a freezer room and how she survives in that -18 degree temperature space and if she can come out of it alive, set the crux of the narrative. The film is extensively shot in Mumbai and in Dehradun.

It is interesting to notice how Janhvi with each of her projects, constantly proves her versatility as an actress; be it - Dhadak, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Roohi, or Good Luck Jerry. Apart from the upcoming film Mili, Janhavi will also be seen in two films titled - Mr And Mrs Mahi and Bawaal.

The film is directed by Mathukutty Xavier who also directed the original Malayalam film, screenplay by Ritesh Shah and distributed by Zee Studios.

While the film is likely to release theatrically on November 4 and the makers are yet to come up with a confirmed release date, Mili will have its digital premiere on Netflix.
