Fans of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel are thrilled to know that the filming of a new season has finally started. Joining the cast for the third season will be Golden Globe winner Mito Ventimiglia.

Ventimiglia has dazzled audiences by playing the bibliophile bad boy on Gilmore Girls and delivering an emotionally charged performance in This Is Us. Fans of the show cannot wait to see the actor join the cast of another famous show. He will be teaming up with showrunners Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino. The trio has worked together on the sets of Gilmore Girls before this. Their wholesome reunion on the sets of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is sure to lead to an interesting season.

Sherman-Palladino had hinted at Ventimiglia joining the cast of her current project previously. "It’s got to be the right part. It can’t be just a cameo. It’s got to have some meat to it. And it’s also got to be a time when he can shave and cut his hair into a 1950s-period look. But the reuniting will definitely happen," said the showrunner.

Ventimiglia 's role is still under wraps but fans know that he will be here to stay for a few episodes. After Sterling K. Brown, Ventimiglia is the second actor from This Is Us to join the cast of this phenomenal comedy drama. It follows Midge, whose real life as a housewife inspires her stand up comedy set, propelling her into the higher echelons of the comedy circle as she fights to make a space for herself and misogyny.

The third season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has been delayed due to the pandemic. Though no release date has been announced yet, fans are ecstatic about watching the new season. The first two seasons of the show can be streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
