Mimi Chakraborty shares a light moment on her singlehood and here is what she says | Watch

Years ago, Mimi Chakraborty’s love life created a buzz in the Bengali film industry. Mimi’s name was involved with Raj Chakraborty and was the source of many speculations. However, all these are past now. Mimi has maintained her ‘single’ status and concentrated on her career. She also got noticed in the music world. However, she gets asked about her relationship status regularly by the journalists. 

Mimi Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee were seen as the action avatars in last year’s film Raktabeej, directed by Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy. But this time there is no action. This is the time of love. Mimi and Abir will be seen together again in the film Alaap, directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki and produced by Surinder Films. Surinder Films announced the film on Saraswati Puja. 

While answering a question about her relationship status, Mimi joked that perhaps she is perceived as a ‘daredevil’ person in real life. “People see me fighting on screen. I often play characters who fight and do stunts. People probably perceive me as a fighter and hence I remained single,” she said.  

In Alaap, Swastika Dutta, Tanni Laha Roy, and Kinjal Nanda will play other important roles. The film will be released on April 26. The production house said that the audience will get the taste of pure love through this film after a long time.
