The first song from Mimi is out and it seems to be an introduction track for Kriti Sanon's character titled Param Sundari. The video for the song features actors portraying a Bikaneri dancer for a function in the small town of the country. She is joined by Sai Tamhankar in the song and they show their incredible dance movies together. The video also gives a glimpse into Pankaj Tripathi, who is the male lead of the film.

Param Sundari is crooned by Shreya Ghoshal and the song is composed, produced and arranged by music maestro AR Rahman. While Amitabh Bhattachary has penned the track. The choreography is done by none other than Ganesh Acharya.

In a statement, Rahman spoke about the song Param Sundari stating, "Param Sundari is a reflection of the lead character Mimi’s dreams. We wanted something catchy and desi which could capture the simplicity of life in small towns and the love that ties all people together."

The Mozart of Madras added that with the track they found the right balance.

About the cast of the film, Mimi also stars Evelyn Edwards, Aidan Whytock, Supriya Pathak and Manoj Pahwa in supporting roles. The film is directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan under his home banner Maddock Films.

Mimi is set to be an OTT release and will simultaneously stream on Jio Cinema and Netflix from July 30, 2021. This is Kriti's first OTT release wherein she plays the role of a surrogate mother.

About the film getting an OTT release, Dinesh had earlier said, "Mimi is our first exclusive OTT release, and while a family outing at the cinemas could take some time, with Mimi, we are bringing wholesome cinema to families in the comfort of their homes."
