Minnal Murali, which premiered on Netflix on December 24, was surrounded by massive hype and expectations, considering its superhero genre. The Tovino Thomas-starrer was able to meet the expectations and opened to positive reviews. Netflix has now released a behind the scenes video of the film.
The video, which starts off with a comic book, involves several footage of the strenuous hard work the team put forward while making the movie. Director Basil Joseph, producer Sophia Paul, Tovino Thomas, the writers and the stunt director Vlad Rimburg are featured in the video.
There are also interesting details about how the scenes involving Minnal Murali’s fast running and action sequences in the movie were made. Tovino also shared how taxing it was to work under Rimburg and recalled that there were instances where he had to redo certain shots 20 times in quick succession.
The producer revealed that her children were the ones who came up with the idea of a superhero movie, being big fans of the genre and that they were also the project designers of Minnal Murali.
The movie is set in a small village where two people get special powers after being hit by lightning. While one of them turns to the dark side, using the powers to get what he wants in life, the other turns into a saviour of the village.
On the technical side, the cinematography has been handled by Sameer Thahir while Livingston Mathew has handled editing. The music for the movie, which was well received by movie lovers, is by Shaan Rahman and Sushin Shyam. Minnal Murali is now available to stream on Netflix.
