Every Minnal Murali promotional material that has found its way online have been surprising to say the least. The latest ‘bonus’ trailer from the Tovino Thomas-starrer too had equally goosebumps-inducing moments along with revealing a glimpse of the promised fourth look of Tovino’s character Jason from the Basil Joseph directorial.
A month ago, after the release of the film’s first trailer was released, Tovino had posted pics of his three looks from the movie and added that there’s another look that fans could catch when the film releases on December 24 on Netflix.
The latest trailer, however, does give us a sneak peek into the look. From what we could make out, it has Tovino in a bearded avatar, indicating that these sequences were shot after the lockdown when the actor had grown out his hair and beard and was seen in that look for movies such as Kala and Kaanekkaane.
The frame in the trailer has Tovino’s character in the midst of flames, wearing boots – whether it’s from a play in the movie or if it’s a new suit – the audience will have to wait till the movie comes out.
Tovino, meanwhile, posted that it’s one of his favourite scenes in the movie and it will stay with the audience as well. The latest trailer almost painted a grim picture with the struggles that Tovino’s character will have to face and dangers plaguing the village of Kurukkanmoola. We also see a hooded figure; whether it’s the villain played by Guru Somasundaram or someone else, we have to wait till Christmas eve.
The movie revolves around Jason, who acquires superpowers after being struck by lightning. Minnal Murali also has Femina George, Aju Varghese, Baiju Santosh and Mammukkoya as part of the cast.
