Popular social media influencer Mira Rajput Kapoor – the wife of popular Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor – did not feel content after watching the Hollywood movie, Barbie, at the theatres.

On Instagram today, Mira wrote, “Hollywood this, Hollywood that.... Well, Hollywood can’t do song-and-dance like Bollywood can!”

This development sweeps in day after actor Juhi Parmar revealed on Instagram that she opted to walk out of theatre along with her daughter within 10 minutes of watching ‘Barbie’. Noticeably, Juhi’s post went viral on social media within the last 24 hours.

Through the post, Juhi said that the fantasy movie is filled with “inappropriate language, sexual connotations, and thus, she was anxiously running out of the theatre wondering what she had exposed my child to. “The language and content in your film Barbie is inappropriate even for children 13 and above,” wrote Juhi.

Just like Juhi, Mira too has a six-year-old daughter, Misha Kapoor. Misha was born to Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput on August 26, 2016.

Interestingly, despite facing criticism in India, Barbie has minted over Rs 21 crores within just four days of its release in India.

Barbie, for those who don’t know, is an American fantasy comedy film directed by Greta Gerwig. Based on the Barbie fashion dolls by Mattel, it is the first live-action Barbie film and stars Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken. The film also features an ensemble cast that includes America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, and Will Ferrell.

The movie was released globally and theatrically on July 21.

Also, Barbie, Oppenheimer, and Mission Impossible 7 have collectively together minted over Rs 100 crores at the box office in India. A remarkable feat by Hollywood films in India indeed!
