Mirai is Teja Sajja’s new film that has taken the box office by storm. In just five days of its release, the fantasy drama is nearing its ₹100 crore mark at the box office. Made on a budget of just ₹50 crore, it recovered its budget in just three days of release, which is a great achievement for a small film.
Teja Sajja was considered a one-film wonder post the success of Hanuman, but he gave three years of his life to this film, and the result is there for us all to see through Mirai's collections. On a key Tuesday, Mirai made ₹6 crore net worldwide, as per the tracking portal Sacnilk.

Now that the Dasara holidays are starting soon, the occupancy for Mirai will once again go up. When it comes to the US, Mirai has already crossed the $2 million mark, as per M9 News, and is in no mood to slow down. As there are no other big films up for release. Mirai will surely continue to dominate the box office in the days to come.

JioHotstar has bagged the digital rights to the film for ₹40 crore, and 90% of the budget was recovered then and there itself. As per the latest update, the makers are planning to delay the OTT release by a week as Mirai is expected to be out in the last week of October 2025. Once the film is done with its theatrical run, you can also stream Mirai on OTTplay Premium.
Karthik Ghattamaneni is the man behind this film, and he’s being hailed as the next big thing in Telugu cinema. Being a cameraman himself, the way he directed the film with great visuals and top-notch VFX has won the hearts of many. Be it the kids or the elderly generation, everybody is liking the film.
The other release, Kishkindhapuri, is also doing well but has not posed any threat to Mirai. Teja Sajja is the only Telugu actor who has managed to score back-to-back 100-crore hits in his career at such a young age and has consolidated his position in Tollywood as a bankable actor.
