Ankush was all set to debut as a producer with his dream project Mirza under the banner of Ankush Hazra Motion Pictures. Along with his own house, he collaborated with Nexgen Ventures Ltd. Mirza was announced under these two banners and the mahurat also took place. However, the two organisations have parted their ways due to internal discords. As a result, Mirza, which was slated to be released during Eid 2023, has been pushed back.

Ankush took to his social media and made the announcement of parting ways with Nexgen Ventures. He wrote, “To our beloved audience, this is to inform everyone that due to some internal differences between Ankush Hazra Motion Pictures and Nexgen Ventures Pvt Ltd, Ankush Hazra Motion Pictures have decided to part ways with Nexgen Ventures. And will no longer be associated with Nexgen Ventures in near future. The films that were announced under the banner of Ankush Hazra Motion Pictures will be released in course of time. But we regret that the film Mirza that was announced to be released on Eid 2023 has to be postponed for the time being. We need to restructure a few things to make Mirza better and bigger and also keep all the artists' and technicians’ dates in mind it would take a longer time to finish the shoot. So to all our beloved audience who have showered immense love and faith to Mirza, it’s just a matter of time. The decisions are taken for the sake of the film and to give you all a better cinematic experience. So don’t get disheartened. Mirza will arrive (sic).”

Earlier, in an interview with OTTplay, Ankush said that he intended to deliver an action-packed commercial film with Mirza. “We are trying to make it as sharp as possible. Right now we have focussed on writing. We are leaving out every stereotypical trope of an action thriller. This is a larger-than-life film. The audience doesn’t need to relate to the film. We want them to celebrate a larger-than-life film,” he said.
