Mirzapur 3 actress Neha Sargam on gaining fame after Pankaj Tripathi's show: 'People often overlook the fact...'

Actress Neha Sargam has been working in the entertainment industry for 13 years. However, she rose to fame with Mirzapur 3, which was released on Amazon Prime Video in 2024. The actress played the role of Saloni Bhabhi in the show. Although she was a part of Mirzapur's second season, the third part brought a lot of surprises and recognition for Neha. The actress, in a recent interview, revealed how her life changed after Mirzapur 3.

Neha Sargam on fame after Mirzapur 3

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Neha Sargam revealed her character gained attention from the second season but the third installment turned out to be better for her. Although she is grateful for Mirzapur 3, the actress felt audiences overlooked the fact that she's been working since 13 years.

"People often overlook the fact that I’ve been working for 13 years. Many in the Mirzapur audience might have seen my previous work and thought, 'Yaar, ye ladki dekhi hui si lag rahi hai (We have seen her somewhere)’. I don’t want to disregard that part of my journey; I’ve worked hard for every role I’ve played," said Neha.

The actress added that Mirzapur 3 is like 'well-earned reward' for several years of her hard work. She shared that people now recognize her for her earlier work as well. As of now, the actress is busy working on theatre production, Mughal-e-Azam The Musical, which is directed by Feroz Abbas Khan.

Mirzapur to be made into a film

In October 2024, Amazon Prime Video announced that Mirzapur, the web show franchise, will be made for the big screen. Mirzapur The Film will feature Pankaj Tripathi, Divyenndu and Ali Fazal, an announcement video was shared on YouTube with a text that read, "Prime Video Announces Mirzapur The Film Directed by: Gurmmeet Singh (sic)."

For the unversed, the film will be produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani. On the other hand, it is being penned by Puneet Krishna. Stay tuned to this space for more updates from the world of streaming and updates!
