Mismatched actress Prajakta Koli tests positive for COVID-19

The second wave of COVID-19 seems to be much more intense than the one last year, with several celebrities including Akshay Kumar and Sonu Sood testing positive for the coronavirus this year. YouTube sensation Prajakta Koli is the latest to contract COVID-19.

Koli made her acting debut in the Netflix show Mismatched opposite Ludo actor Rohit Saraf in 2020. In her social media post on Sunday, the actress said that she had taken all the necessary precautions but still got COVID-19.

Revealing her condition, the actress wrote on Sunday, “In spite of taking all necessary precautions, I tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this evening. I am doing okay and am well taken care of by my family and doctors. Thank you so much for your love and concern. Please stay safe. Wear a mask.”

Koli, who goes by the name MostlySane on social media, will soon be seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo along with Varun Dhawan, Anil Kapoor, Kiara Advani and Neetu Kapoor.

Her colleagues and comedians Kusha Kapila and Rohan Joshi commented on the post, asking her to stay strong and get well soon. Over the weeked, several other Bollywood actors including Arjun Rampal, Neil Nitin Mukesh and Sameera Reddy tested positive for coronavirus.

It’s been over a year since the first nationwide lockdown was announced because of the pandemic. While the restrictions were eased in the latter half of last year, prompting actors to begin working on sets again, many have tested positive for COVID-19 despite taking the necessary precautions.
