Sung by MM Manasi, the single composed by Radhan is lyricised by Anantha Sriram
Anushka Shetty, who last acted in the multilingual Nisabdham, is on a comeback trail. She is paired opposite Jathi Ratnalu, Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya star Naveen Polishetty in the film produced by Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations. P Mahesh Babu is the writer and the director of this romantic entertainer which is gearing up for a summer release.
After unveiling the first look of the actors in the recent promos, the makers launched the film’s single commemorating Ugadi. Radhan scores the music for the film. Titled No No No, the song takes a deep-dive into the concerns of a woman who’s struggling to find her match. She finds every reason in the book to say no to potential bridegrooms and is clearly unimpressed by them.
‘Puthadibomma Puvvulakomma..Pedha adugey vesindhe..Padhatulanni sankelalantu…Tenchi Mundhuku nadichindhe..’ - the opening lines describe how Anushka Shetty is gearing up for her marriage. The later stanzas are satirical in their tone when it discusses her various demands and expectations from the men and the families she meets.
Anantha Sriram’s relatable lyrics are trendy, discussing the entire scenario in a lighter vein. Radhan, in a rap-meets-melody zone, comes up with a song that’s modern with its orchestration and rendition. MM Manasi’s expressive, earthy voice lends a raw appeal to the number. Lady Kash, in particular, excels with the rap segment. Anushka Shetty is as charming as ever in the montages.
With cinematography by Nirav Shah, the film’s crew also comprises production designer Rajeevan and noted choreographer Raju Sundaram as well. Raghav Tammareddy is the VFX supervisor. Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical streaming rights of the entertainer. The release date will be announced shortly.
