Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty teaser: Naveen Polishetty, Anushka Shetty unite for a feel-good rom-com

Anushka Shetty, last seen in the multilingual, direct-to-OTT release Nishabdham (on Amazon Prime Video), is returning to the silver-screen with a light-hearted entertainer titled Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty. Jathi Ratnalu, Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya actor Naveen Polishetty plays the male lead in the film written and directed by P Mahesh Babu. The film is set to release this summer.

The teaser of the rom-com, produced by Vamsi and Pramod under UV Creations, was unveiled at Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology, Hyderabad today. The story revolves around a chef, who’s reluctant about marriage and Siddhu a struggling standup comedian, who barely makes money but thinks highly of himself. They fall in love when the latter starts performing at her hotel regularly.

The glimpse starts with Anushka proclaiming that food is a science and informs her subordinates that you can’t take it for granted. She has a mother who’s proud of her professional growth and doesn’t foresee her marrying anyone. Meanwhile, Siddhu, who has a funny bone, tries to show off his sense of humour at unusual situations - at a hospital, job interview and his workplace.

When Anushka discuss his job as a comedian at their home, Siddhu tries to divert the topic. How does a woman who’s pessimistic about marriage change her opinion over time? Murali Sharma, Jayasudha, Bhadram, Tulasi play other important roles in the entertainer. The feel-good teaser makes a solid impression and promises a clean situational comedy targeted at youngsters and families.

Nirav Shah cranks the camera for the film while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor. Raju Sundaram is the sole choreographer. The crew includes production designer Rajeevan Nambiar, VFX Supervisor Raghav Tammareddy as well. The first single from the film (No No), whose music is scored by Radhan, has already crossed the one million mark on Youtube.
