Stars from Kannada cinema and several other fraternities in the country are confident about James hitting the bull's eye at the box office

The entire film fraternity in India is coming together to pay a grand homage to Puneeth Rajkumar, as the late star's last full-fledged film James is arriving at theatres today. The Chethan Kumar directorial is releasing in 4000 screens across the globe in five languages. The film also stars Priya Anand, Anu Prabhakar, Srikanth and others in key roles and has music by Charan Raj. Hoping for its commercial success and remembering Appu fondly, several celebrities from Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu industries wished Puneeth on his birth anniversary and said that the film will be special for all Puneeth fans and viewers.
Noted names from Malayalam cinema including Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi went onto tweet why James will be an important memory for every Puneeth fan and spoke of the glorious impact that he has left behind in Kannada cinema. Young stars from Telugu, including Varun Tej, Sai Dharam Tej, director Harish Shankar were among others who hailed Puneeth for his terrific body of work. Actor Danish Sait, director Anup Bhandari were among others who expressed their optimism about James and spoke of their bond with Appu over the years. Unanimously, almost every one has admitted that they can't look at James like any other film.
A few days earlier, stars like Chiranjeevi, Sarathkumar also spoke about not coming to terms with the passing away of Puneeth yet and wished nothing less than a super hit for the Kannada Power Star. Written and directed by Chethan Kumar, James is bankrolled by Kishore Pathikonda. The action entertainer has cinematography by Swamy J Gowda and edited by Deepu S Kumar. For the uninitated, the film revolves around Santhosh James Kumar, a manager in J-WINGS security agency, who has to tackle underworld mafia as he encounters a series power brokers and businessmen who are active in crime syndicate.
