It's been nearly a year since Brooklyn Nine-Nine, a fan-favourite comedy show, went off air. The NBC series has been streaming on Netflix since season seven. As expected, like every year, fans were awaiting the streaming of the final season, that is, season eight, of Brooklyn Nine-Nine earlier this year. However, that did not happen, leading to a massive disappointment for the fans.

Finally, after almost a year, Netflix announced that they will be streaming Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 8 starting August 13, 2022, much to the excitement of the fans. The season originally aired from August 12, 2021, to September 16, 2021, and lasted 10 episodes.

Talking about the show, Det. Jake Peralta (Andy Samberg), his witty commander, Raymond Holt (Andre Braugher), and their colourful, endearing coworkers are followed in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as they patrol the 99th Precinct of the NYPD. In the series' final season, Jake and the team must manage their personal and professional lives over a very challenging year.

The remaining cast members are Det. Charles Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio), Jake's best friend and human puppy dog, Sgt. Amy Santiago (Melissa Fumera), who is incredibly secretive and tough as nails, Lt. Terry Jeffords (Terry Crews), a mountain of a man whose most powerful muscle is his sweetheart, and Rosa Diaz (Stephanie Beatriz). Det. Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) and Det. Hitchcock (Dirk Blocker), whose main expertise as cops is their ability to make an acceptable cup of coffee, are also members of the Nine-Nine.

At the 2014 Golden Globes, Brooklyn Nine-Nine won Best Television Series: Comedy or Musical and Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series: Comedy or Musical (Samberg). It was created by Emmy Award-winning writers and producers, Dan Goor and Michael Schur. For his performance as Capt. Holt, Emmy-winner Braugher received four nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
