Sidharth Malhotra is all set for the release of his second direct to OTT release in the form of Mission Majnu. The film’s release comes at the perfect time, just as the entire country is gearing up to celebrate India’s 74th Republic Day. The makers of the upcoming film have unveiled the latest track from the film, Maati Ko Maa Kehte Hain, a soulful ode to the motherland.
The music video of the film starts off with a powerful line from Sidharth, where he is heard saying “Hum India hai. Hum nafrath par nahi, pyaar par palthe hai”.
Then Sonu Nigam and Rochak Kohli fill the air with their soulful vocals and moving lyrics, which pay tribute to Indians’ love and devotion to their country, for which they are ready to sacrifice anything. The music video also features several glimpses from the film which see Sidharth in action as a spy on a clandestine mission for his country, taking on a secret identity in Pakistan.

Maati Ko Maa Kehte Hain has lyrics penned by Manoj Muntashir, and music composed by Rochak. The song is the second track released from the film’s soundtrack, the first being Rabba Janda.
Rashmika Mandanna will essay the role of the female lead in the film, where she plays a visually impaired character. Talking about her role, the actress had opened up about the intense preparation she had to go through for the role, where she tried to master different skills while blindfolded.
In addition to Sidharth and Rashmika, the upcoming film also features Kumud Mishra, Sharib Hashmi, Mir Sarwar, Zakir Hussain, Parmeet Sethi, Dj Virus, Arjan Bajwa and Rajit Kapur in pivotal roles. Shantanu Bagchi has directed the film, which was produced under the banner of RSVP and GBA.
Mission Majnu will be released on Netflix on January 20, 2023.
