Akshay Kumar starrer Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue releases in theatres on October 6.
With his film Raniganj Mission, Akshay Kumar plans to bring the real life story of the Raniganj Coalfields collapse in West Bengal in 1989. He will once again share the screen space with Parineeti Chopra, who will play his wife Nirdosh Kaur Gill in the movie.
According to information obtained by Bollywood Hungama, the actress has an extended cameo appearance in the movie. A source explained to the portal that the movie is about a gang of trapped miners. They must be saved quickly because time is running out and they risk dying. To maintain the attention and stress levels in such a situation, the producers had to concentrate on the primary track. "Hence, there’s very little focus on Parineeti Chopra’s track. Her screen time is around 10 minutes,” the source added.
The source further added, “But hers is a crucial character. And the makers were keen to have a strong performer like Parineeti Chopra for the part. She also understood the importance of her character and willingly came on board.”
Parineeti Chopra's personal and professional front
On September 24, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha exchanged vows, and the couple is now blissfully married. Mission Raniganj, starring Parineeti Chopra, will be released in theaters. It brings her and co-star Akshay Kumar from Kesari (2019) back together.
