In the serial Mithijhora, Krishnakishore Mukherjee was suddenly replaced by another actor. He was portraying Shourya’s would-be father-in-law. People loved his character, especially his chemistry with Srotoswini. But why is he leaving the serial? Reports say that he took this decision due to illness.
Mithijhora started with the story of three sisters, Raipurna, Nilanjana, and Srotoswini. On the day of Raipurna’s marriage, their father passes away. The family’s responsibility comes on her shoulders. To take care of her invalid brother and his wife, widowed mother, and two sisters, Raipurna decides not to marry. She gets her sister Nilanjana married to her boyfriend. Her life gets devastated.
Rai again starts working and falls in love with her new boss, Anirban. Anirban is the cousin of her ex-boyfriend. Rai marries Anirban. But unhappiness haunts her. Her family and even Anirban misunderstand her time and again. At the same time, Srotoswini starts studying to be a doctor. Srotoswini always stands by Raipurna’s side. Srotoswini’s would-be-in-law’s family starts coming into the picture gradually. Krishnakishore Mukherjee played Srwot’s father-in-law. But he is replaced by Biplab Dasgupta.
Krishnakishore recently went through a major surgery. How is the actor doing? In an interview with TV9 Bangla, his daughter Agnijeeta Mukherjee said ‘He is doing well. He had surgery on his spine. Hence he decided to withdraw himself from the serial. The doctors advised him to take complete bed rest for one month. Hence that decision.’
