There have been speculations over Raj Chakraborty’s collaboration with National Award-winning actor Mithun Chakraborty. It was reported that they might join hands for an action thriller. However, a recent report suggested that while these two will collaborate on a film, it will not be an action film but a family drama.

As it seems, the family drama will delve into the relationship between a father and his son. As per reports on Anandabazar Patrika, Ritwick Chakraborty will play Mithun’s son in the film. The shooting of the film was supposed to start in April. However, the report suggested that the shooting will start in March due to the forthcoming election.

Interestingly, Mithun Chakraborty plays the father in Avijit Sen’s Projapati with Dev. The film went on to become a massive box-office success. Later the veteran actor was seen in Suman Ghosh’s Kabuliwala. Currently, he has been shooting Pathikrit Basu’a Shastri with Debashree Roy. Soham Chakraborty produces the film and it features Sauraseni Maitra, Anirban Chakrabarti, and Rajatava Dutta. It was during the shooting of this film, that Mithun fell ill. Sohan rushed him to a hospital where he was diagnosed with a cerebral stroke. Dev, Raj, and several other members of the film fraternity paid him a visit. He was released from the hospital within a few days. He got back to the floors on February 19.

On the other hand, Raj completed the shooting of Babli with Subhashree Ganguly, Abir Chatterjee and Sauraseni Maitra. Billed as a love story, the film is based on Buddradeb Guha’s novel. The team completed the shooting in North Bengal and Kolkata. In fact, Raj celebrated his birthday with the team on February 21.
