A couple of days ago, the entire entertainment industry went into a shock after the news about veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty being admitted in a hospital became viral. Even though there were initial speculations about his health issues, everything became clear after the hospital (where the actor was admitted) issued an official statement, which stated that he had been diagnosed with Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (stroke). For everyone who has been praying for the recovery of Mithunda, here is the news which is bound to bring a smile to your face.

Mithun Chakraborty on the road to recovery

As per a report in The Times Of India/ Times Now, filmmaker Pathikrit Basu has confirmed that Mithun Chakraborty was on the road to recovery. The ‘Shastri’ director also added that the veteran actor is expected to resume shooting after a few days. He also clarified that, contrary to the rumours, the actor did not collapse on his sets as he had not present that day. He also added that Mithun Chakraborty will be most likely discharged in a couple of days.

Mithunda's sugar levels had gone down

On the other hand, there was Debashree Roy, who happens to be Mithunda’s co-star from the film ‘Shastri’. In an interview with Zoom, the actress said that she had met Mithunda in the hospital and that he was feeling better now. She added that he had been taken to the hospital on time and that his sugar levels had gone down. She also added that the actor was feeling quite uneasy, but, presently, he was out of the ICU and recuperating in a room.

On the professional front, Mithun Chakraborty was last seen in the Bengali film Kabuliwala, which was released last year. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Mithun Chakraborty had spoken about the film by saying that the film showed how an Afghan man learns Bengali and speaks it with a mix of Hindi and Bengali.
