Veteran Bollywood actor Mithun Chakraborty reportedly suffered Ischemic Cerebrovascular Stroke and was hospitalised in Kolkata. He was admitted to the ICU (intensive care unit). However, actress Debashree, who recently visited Chakraborty, has revealed that the senior actor is recovering. She also mentioned that Mithun is now out of ICU.

Actress Debashree Roy was supposed to begin shooting for a project with Mithun Chakraborty. She told Times Now that the veteran actor was taken to the hospital in time after his sugar levels went down. "He was feeling quite uneasy. But now he is out of the ICU and recuperating in a room," she said.

On the other hand, director Pathikrit Basu also assured that Mithun Chakraborty is feeling better. He also told the filmmaker that he would resume the shoot after a few days. "He talked about the things he would be doing when he comes back on the sets," revealed Basu.

Why was Mithun Chakraborty hospitalised?

Apollo Multispeciality Hospitals issued a statement on Mithun Chakraborty's health. The statement confirmed that the veteran actor was admitted to the hospital after 'complaints of weakness in the right upper and lower limbs'. Several tests were carried out including an MRI of the brain.

Following the same, Chakraborty was diagnosed with an Ischemic Cerebrovascular Accident (Stroke) of the brain. Having said that, the veteran actor is being treated by a neuro-physician, cardiologist, and gastroenterologist.
