Avantika made her acting debut with Mithya in 2022. Following the first part's success, Mithya was renewed for a second season. Before the show's release, the makers dropped a new character poster of Avantika. The actress has reprised her character of Rhea Rajguru in Mithya 2.
ZEE5 shared a new poster of Mithya: The Darker Chapter featuring Avantika Dassani. The poster of Avantika's character Rhea Rajguru comes with a text that reads: "Losers pe weakness attack karte hain. Asli revenge hai strength ko todna." In this series, the actress essays the role of Huma Qureshi aka Juhi Adhikari's half-sister.
While sharing the poster on Instagram, the streaming platform captioned it post: "Rajguru estate ki malkin is always aiming for something bigger (sic)." Directed by Kapil Sharma, Mithya: The Darker Chapter also features Naveen Kasturia. He is the new addition to the world of Mithya.
In an interview with OTTplay, Avantika revealed her character was the reason she chose to do Mithya season 1. "I think Rhea's character is such an interesting character. Especially as an actor, one hopes that they get something to do like this once or twice in their career. I was very excited about the idea that I could do this for my very first show. There are so many nuances and layers to her," she said.
The actress further revealed, "There was this whole idea that every time she comes on to the screen, she is going to do something — you have no idea what, why, or how." As for Mithya: The Darker Chapter, the series will premiere on November 1, 2024.
