Anarkali and Memories actress Miya George is set for her Malayalam comeback with an investigative thriller titled Price of Police. The actress is one among the two female leads in the film, which is helmed by debutant Unni Madhav.

Price of Police, which also has Rahul Madhav, Kalabhavan Shajohn and Thalaivasal Vijay, is touted to have strong female characters essayed by Miya, Swasika Vijay and Mareena Michael. Witten by Rahul Kalyan, the movie is set to go on floors in Thiruvananthapuram on June 29.

The film’s principal locations will be Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru and Chennai, according to a report in Can Channels. Riyaz Khan and Kottayam Ramesh are also part of the film, which has Shameer Gibran as its cinematographer, Ronnie Raphael as its composer and Ananthu Vijayan as its editor.

Miya had last acted in a Malayalam film in 2019. She was part of two back-to-back Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrers – Brother’s Day and Driving Licence. Miya was also part of Saiju Kurup’s direct-to-OTT release Guardian and Namitha Pramod’s Al Mallu. The actress got married in 2020 and gave birth to a baby boy in July 2021.

Miya will next be seen in Vikram’s big budget action entertainer Cobra, which also has a slew of Malayalam actors including Sarjano Khalid, Roshan Mathew, Babu Antony and Mammukkoya. The actress had filmed her portions for the film after her wedding. The actress is also part of debutant Saiju SS’ CID Sheela, which had her in the titular character. The film, which is scripted by Naveen John, revolves around the hidden talents of a woman.

Meanwhile, Rahul Madhav, who will play the male lead along with Shajohn in Price of Police, is awaiting the release of Jeethu Joseph’s 12th Man, which will drop on Disney+ Hotstar on May 20. The mystery drama has Mohanlal in the lead and Rahul plays a character named Sam in the film.
