Anthologies are gradually gaining familiarity among Telugu audiences. While we've had Praveen Sattaru's Chandamama Kathalu winning a national award many years ago, some of the noteworthy anthologies on the digital medium include Addham, Metro Kathalu, Pitta Kathalu and most recently Modern Love Hyderabad. Now, another anthology, Panchatantra Kathalu, helmed by Ganganamoni Shekar, is gearing up for a theatrical release soon. The film's trailer was launched by MM Keeravaani earlier today.
The anthology, as the title suggests, brings together five shorts bound by a common theme. While there's a story of a grandma facing neglect from her children, another tale focuses on a youngster who fails to gather the courage to stand up for his girl. Another woman in her 20s in another short is looking for an opportunity to lead a regular life. A city-bred boy is eagerly waiting to meet his love while a middle-aged woman is caught at the crossroads of her life. Where and how do these tales connect?
Keeravaani, while unveiling the trailer shared, "It's interesting to see an anthology belonging to different genres coming together in the same film. The trailer has come out well and the characterisation is impressive. I'm eager to see what Noel Sean has managed in the anthology. I am eagerly waiting for its release." Panchatantra Kathalu has wrapped its censor formalities and was certified U/A. The film reportedly garnered praise from the CBFC authorities too.
Noel Sean, Nandini Rai, Sai Ronak, Praneeta Patnaik, Geetha Bhascker, Nihal Kodhaty, Sadiya, Ajay Kathurwar play important roles in Panchatantra Kathalu. Ganganamoni Shekar and Vijay Bhaskar Saddala are the cinematographers of the film edited by Srinivas Varaganti. Syed Kamran has scored the music and Azhar Sheikh has penned the dialogue. D Madhu has bankrolled the film under Madhu Creations. The makers are aiming for a release in the last week of July or the first week of August.
