The buzz surrounding Pathaan has been building ever since the release of the first look for the Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham movie. Fans have been jubilant over the movie's opening because it marks SRK's comeback to the big screen after almost 4 years. Pathaan fever has been sweeping the nation for the past few days, and fans are enjoying every minute of the movie. However, a specific set of people are also protesting the release. The most recent rumour is that a mob caused a scene on Sunday outside a theatre in Mumbai.

ANI reported that a mob vandalised a theatre showing Pathaan on Sunday in Mumbai's Mira Road neighbourhood. The crowd was there to protest against the John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and Shah Rukh Khan film. According to reports, a group of guys were seen making a scene outside the theatre while waving saffron flags and apparently chanting "Jai Shri Ram." They also damaged the posters of the movie Pathaan. The reports further claim that the security personnel were on high alert and halted the mob at the gate, preventing them from entering the theatre.

The movie is currently dominating the box office. Pathaan has been in theatres for four days and has generated almost INR 429 crore so far (gross worldwide).

The next film starring Shah Rukh will be Rajkumar Hirani's Dunki. Taapsee Pannu also appears in it. Along with Nayanthara, Sunil Grover, and Sanya Malhotra, he also has Jawan. The film is helmed by Atlee. Both films are slated to release this year.
