The much-anticipated adaptation, Modern Love Mumbai has finally hit the screens today. The anthology series of Amazon Prime Video has opened to fairly positive responses. The makers indeed have put a lot of effort into its making by not just getting the country's prolific filmmakers and actors but also musicians. The makers have gone to length and breadth of the country to find some of the best talents for its title track, six songs and background score.  

The music talents include Shankar Mahadevan, Sonu Nigam, Ram Sampath, and Nikhil D'Souza, among others. The official music album of the six-part series was launched on Thursday, presenting the line-up of renowned musicians and composers from across the country who have worked on the show. The tracks were penned by Pinky Poonawala, Ginny Diwan, Sameer Rahat, Vishal Bhardwaj, Ankur Tewari, Neel Adhikari, and Tanishk Nabar. The song 'Shuru Se Shuru' for the episode Arshad Warsi-Fatima Sana Sheikh starrer Cutting Chai is composed by the popular trio, Shankar Ehsaan Loy.

Shankar Mahadevan told IANS that it is amazing to note that the music can help the audience resonate with all the emotions that the show is trying to portray. "Being a part of the Mumbai chapter of 'Modern Love' is like being a part of a large family," he said. Ehsaan Noorani added that composing 'Shuru Se Shuru' has been an endearing experience. And Loy Mendonsa is confident that the music and background score with Soumil Shringarpure will make the audience feel 'warm and fuzzy in love'.

The song 'Kaisi Baatein Karte Ho' for Hansal Mehta's episode, Baai, featuring Tanuja, Pratik Gandhi and Ranveer Brar, is sung by Sonu Nigam. Speaking about the experience of working on the song, the singer said he could not refuse to be a part of the show when Jeet Gannguli got in touch with him. He said, "What these stories are trying to achieve is all heart. Without any barriers, without any conditions. Celebrating the purity of love, of owning oneself, just like in 'Baai'. It's great to be a part of this fantastic anthology's musical offering."

The show is the Mumbai chapter of the popular US original anthology series, Modern Love. The Amazon Prime Video show explores six different stories of love, celebrating the emotion in different facets, shades and moods, set in the city's unique milieu. The episodes are helmed by Vishal Bhardwaj, Hansal Mehta, Shonali Bose, Dhruv Sehgal, Alankrita Shrivastava and Nupur Asthana. The series is produced by Pritish Nandy and stars Fatima Sana Shaikh, Bhupendra Jadawat, Dilip Prabhavalkar, Sarika, Danesh Razvi, Ahsaas Channa, Tanvi Azmi, Masaba Gupta, Ritwik Bhowmik, Prateik Babbar, Aadar Malik, Dolly Singh, Chitrangda Singh and Arshad Warsi.
