In 2008, Kannada filmmaker Shashank introduced a new jodi in Sandalwood. Shashank was all set to start work on a film when one of the leading men met with an accident and was ruled out of action for a while. The filmmaker, though, had to get cracking on his film soon enough and needed a replacement and the actor he chose was none other than namma Rocking Star Yash. “I chanced upon Yash in an episode of his serial, Preeti Illade Mele, which was playing while I was having dinner at hoem. My parents and wife used to watch the show religiously, as it also starred artistes like Achyuth Kumar and Anant Nag, among others. While I had seen episodes of the serial earlier, it was only then that I paid more attention to Yash and his performance and I quite liked what I saw. I then reached out to him and offered him a role in Moggina Manasu,” Shashank had told OTTplay earlier.
Moggina Manasu turned out to be a major break not only for Yash, who played the parallel lead Rahul, but also for his co-star and now wife, Radhika Pandit, who won the State best actress award. The film is getting yet another TV outing soon. According to a social media post by Colors Kannada, Moggina Manasu will be telecast on Sunday at 5 pm. The post was accompanied with a video glimpse from the movie, and it seems that some digital remastering has been done to ensure great visual quality.
This, of course, has got fans of the Rocking Star excited, with some wondering if the film would be available to stream on Voot or Jio Cinema, as the case maybe, after the TV telecast.
