Classic Mohan films to revisit on SunNXT

Mohan, one of the veteran actors of the Tamil film industry who was popular in the 80s, was fondly known as Mic Mohan. The actor was last seen in the 2008 comedy-thriller film Sutta Pazham. Now, after 16 years, the actor is all set to make a comeback with Haraa, which will release on June 8. Mohan will also appear in Vijay’s The Goat. Gopurangal Saayvathillai

Gopurangal Saayvathillai is directed by Manivannan and stars Mohan, Suhasini, Radha, SV Shekhar, Vinu Chakravarthy and others. The 1982 romantic drama is about a man who is forced to marry a rural and illiterate girl. However, after marriage, he finds love through his affair with a modern woman of his taste. The rest of the film is about the consequences he faces later.

Kilinjalgal

The 1981 romance drama is about two friends, with one of them helping the other woo a woman whom he likes. However, the friend does not know that both of them are seeing the same woman. What happens next and the decision the woman and her family take form the rest of the film. The film is written and directed by Durai and stars Mohan, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Dilip, VK Ramasamy, and others.

Manaivi Solle Manthiram

Manaivi Solle Manthiram is a family drama about a newlywed wife who comes to know that her husband's household spends lavishly, not knowing the importance of money. They also spend the money they get as dowry, further instigating the wife to teach them an appropriate lesson. The film is directed by Rama Narayanan and written by P Kalaimani. It stars Mohan, Nalini, Pandiyan, and others.

Unakkaga Oru Roja

Unakkaga Oru Roja is about a financially backward man who is in a relationship with a woman. However, when he gets a proposal from a richer woman, he ditches his partner to be with the other woman. The film features Mohan, Ambika, Suresh, and others. Unakkaga Oru Roja is helmed by filmmaker CV Rajendran.

Thoongatha Kannendru Ondru

Thoongatha Kannendru Ondru is a romantic drama directed by Sundarrajan and features Mohan and Ambika in the lead roles. The film is about a couple who get married against the wishes of the girl's family. As the husband goes out to find opportunities in the film world, the wife's family tries to fix her marriage with another person. This prompts her to go out to find her husband.
