Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Bro Daddy is as different as can be from their first collaboration Lucifer. The upcoming movie, which is a feel-good entertainer, will have the superstar duo playing father and son, and will also feature a track sung by the stars.

Both the actors recorded a track for the movie, which has Deepak Dev as its composer, recently in Kochi. According to a report in Can Channels, Prithviraj and Mohanlal made time from their busy schedules in Shaji Kailas’ Kaduva and Vysakh’s Monster, respectively, to reach Deepak Dev’s studio in Ernakulam to record the track.

The duo completed the recording in two hours and returned to their respective sets. Deepak had also composed the music for Lucifer, which marked Prithviraj’s debut directorial and had Mohanlal in the lead.

In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Mohanlal told us that Bro Daddy, which is Prithviraj’s second directorial, is a feel-good entertainer that is humour-driven and shot aesthetically. “When comedies are shot in a visually-appealing manner, they become delightful to watch,” said the actor, adding that when the team decided to do Bro Daddy, they wanted to make a movie for OTTs that can be enjoyed by all.

Bro Daddy, which also has Kalyani Priyadarshan, Kaniha, Meena Sagar, Soubin Shahir, Jagadish and Unni Mukundan, will be a direct-to-OTT release. Rumours suggest that the movie will release on Disney+ Hotstar. However, there has not been an official confirmation from the team yet.

The entire film was shot in Hyderabad. Meanwhile, Mohanlal also told us that his third collaboration with Prithviraj, Empuraan, will be made on a much bigger canvas and budget than his recently released film Marakkar:
