Mohanlal, Mammootty release Bhavana’s Anomie success teaser, convey best wishes

Malayalam actress Bhavana’s latest film, Anomie, has got a big boost. The success teaser of Anomie, which has completed one week at the cinemas, was unveiled by both Mammootty and Mohanlal online. Bhavana too shared her happiness at the Malayalam superstars coming together for her film’s cause.

Mammootty, Mohanlal share Anomie teaser

Anomie is a 2026 Malayalam thriller, which features Bhavana in the lead role Zara Philip. The thriller film, helmed by Riyas Marath, hit theatres on February 6, 2026, and within a week, the success teaser of Anomie was out. Malayalam stalwarts - Mammootty and Mohanlal - did the honour, by sharing the teaser on their Instagram Stories on February 12. While Mohanlal sent his best wishes to the team, Mammootty wrote congratulations. Bhavana too reshared their stories and wished both Lalettan and Mammookka.

Bhavana, who started her career during her teenage years, has acted with Mammootty in Chronic Bachelor and with Mohanlal in Chotta Mumbai and Naran, among others. The actress has not been very active in Malayalam films recently. 

On the other hand, Mammootty and Mohanlal are joining hands for the upcoming movie Patriot, marking their onscreen union after 18 years.

What does Anomie success teaser show

The Anomie success teaser begins with Bhavana’s character Zara inisisting that Ziyan, her brother, has not committed suicide. Tense background score takes over as we glimpses of dead bodies and the cop, played by senior actor Rahman. The teaser states that the suspense that strikes deep and the film is crafted for the big screen, while teasing the core concept of the film which has the tagline - The Equation for Death.

What is Anomie movie about

The Malayalam movie Anomie revolves around Zara, a forensic expert, whose brother Ziyaan is found dead. The police insist that it is a case of suicide, as Ziyaan had a history of mental instability. However, Zara suspects something is foul and sets out to find the truth on her own, even as ACP Jibran also follows the leads in the official investigation. Young filmmaker Riyas Marath has both written and directed the movie, which combines a thrilling investigation with sci-fi elements.
