The team of Mohanlal and Priyadarshan’s magnum opus Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham are going all out to promote the film ahead of its December 2 theatrical release. While the delay in confirming the film’s theatrical release might have cost precious marketing time for a huge movie like this, the team has planned to come out all guns firing starting from November 24.

According to reports, the makers are planning to release five teasers and a final trailer leading up to the release date, to hype the film. The first teaser will be released through Saina Movies YouTube page at 4pm on November 24.

The teasers are expected to provide glimpses of its characters including those played by Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Nedumudi Venu, Pranav Mohanlal, Keerthy Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan along with Mohanlal’s Kunjali Marakkar IV and Manju Warrier’s Ayesha.

The team had earlier this month revealed the behind-the-scenes footage from the movie’s shoot in Hyderabad two years ago. The two videos released had Tamil superstars Ajith and Vijay Sethupathi visiting the sets. Recently, they also released the video of late actor Nedumudi Venu, who plays a Zamorin in the movie, talking about Marakkar.

Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham, which is reportedly the most expensive Malayalam film, revolves around Kunjali Marakkar IV during his final reign as the naval chieftain of Zamorins in the 16th century. Marakkar IV is considered as a master naval commander who waged wars against the Portuguese troops at sea and defeated them.

The movie also has a stellar cast featuring Prabhu, Siddique, Mukesh, Ashok Selvan and Baburaj in roles inspired by real-life figures. The film will release worldwide in theatres and is expected to premiere on OTT 41 days later.
