Mohanlal plays an investigative officer in Vysakh’s thriller titled Monster

Since the unveiling of the first-look poster of Mohanlal’s Monster, the hype for the star’s next collaboration with director Vysakh after Pulimurugan has been on the rise and now we have got to know more about the details of his character Lucky Singh from the film.

The movie, scripted by Udaykrishna, will reportedly be an investigative thriller and has Mohanlal playing an investigative officer. Telugu actress Lakshmi Manchu will be making her Mollywood debut through the film, which is currently being shot in Ernakulam. The first look of the poster revealed a turban-clad look of the character reloading his guns.

A few weeks ago, the film’s producer Antony Perumbavoor had announced the Vysakh directorial along with Marakkar will be a direct-to-OTT release. However, since then he had confirmed that Marakkar would hit theatres on December 2. The plans for other upcoming movies produced by Aashirvaad Cinemas too are bound to change based on the revenue Marakkar will gather from ticket sales.

As of now, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Mohanlal’s Bro Daddy has been rumoured to drop directly on Disney+ Hotstar during Christmas. Jeethu Joseph’s 12th Man, which is a mystery that has Mohanlal, Saiju Kurup, Aditi Ravi, Chandunath, Unni Mukundan and Rahul Madhav as part of the cast is also set for an OTT release.

Mohanlal’s collaboration with Shaji Kailas, Alone, is the third film that has been announced to have an OTT release. Meanwhile, the superstar is currently also dubbing for B Unnikrishnan’s Aaraattu, which will hit theatres on February 10. The ‘mass’ action-entertainer, which has Shraddha Srinath, Nedumudi Venu, Rachana Narayanankutty and Dhruvan, is also scripted by Udaykrishna.
