There are rumours that Prithviraj Sukumaran and Arvind Swamy will be part of a new film project that is directed by Dijo Jose Antony, the director of Jana Gana Mana. The film, which stars Mohanlal as the lead, is slated to be produced by Listin Stephen and Prithviraj. The script is written by Sharis Mohammed and is rumoured to be shot in between the filming of Empuraan, the Lucifer sequel that is set to go on floors next month.

There have been reports about Prithviraj backing three of Mohanlal's upcoming films, one of which will be directed by Dijo. Furthermore, Listin said in an interview that he was planning a project with Mohanlal.

Dijo Jose Antony and Mohanlal's collaborations

Dijo had previously worked with Mohanlal on an advertisement shoot, in which the actor featured in traditional attire. The advertisement gained attention due to its portrayal of Mohanlal in a look that reminded viewers of his old mass avatars in films like Narasimham and Devasuram. Dijo also had a track in his debut film, Queen, that was a tribute song to the actor.

Dijo's next film is with Nivin Pauly and is written by Sharis. The first schedule of the film in Dubai is complete, with some portions still to be filmed in Kerala.

Mohanlal's projects

Meanwhile, Mohanlal is currently busy with the shoot of the court room drama Neru , which is directed by Jeethu Joseph. He plays a lawyer in film, something that audiences haven't seen him do for a long time. After Neru, the actor will join the sets of Empuraan, which is slated to be shot in Delhi and Ladakh in the first schedule.

Mohanlal also has portions to complete in his pan-Indian action film Vrushabha. The film is a period epic drama that will feature the actor in different getups. The behind-the-scenes pictures of the actor from Vrushabha are impressive, featuring him in a warrior look.
