Mohanlal’s latest hit Thudarum continues to rake in impressive numbers, notching up one box office record after the other. The Malayalam film, directed by Tharun Moorthy, has emerged to be the all-time highest-grossing movie in Kerala. It needs to be highlighted that Mohanlal scripted success with Thudarum right after Lucifer sequel Empuraan’s phenomenal run at the box office. Here’s a look at Thudarum’s latest earnings and the box office feat it has achieved.

Mohanlal’s Thudarum, the highest grosser in Kerala

Thudarum released in theatres on April 25, 2025, to an overwhelmingly positive reception which has been converting to good numbers at the box office too. The Mohanlal-starrer, produced by M Renjith’s Rejaputhra Visual Media, has now become the all-time highest-grossing movie in Kerala, the makers claimed on social media. Thudarum is the second highest grossing Malayalam film of the year and stands second only to L2:Empuraan, another Mohanlal starrer.

Though Empuraan raked in impressive collections, and emerged to be the highest-grossing Malayalam film, it could not surpass the Rs 89 crore collection of Jude Anthany Joseph’s 2018 at the Kerala box office. However, Thudarum notched up the feat by collecting Rs 100 crore gross from the Kerala box office alone, the makers have said. On the other hand, Prithviraj Sukumaran’s third directorial film, Empuraan, could only make Rs 87 crore at the Kerala box office, as per Reporter Live.

According to the figures on the industry tracker Sacnilk, the toal worldwide collection of Thudarum stands at Rs 184.7 crore on day 15 at the box office.
