Mohanlal reveals title of Shaji Kailas directorial, says real heroes are always alone

Mohanlal revealed the title of his upcoming movie with director Shaji Kailas on Tuesday through his social media page. The movie titled Alone, is scripted by Rajesh Jayaraman and produced by Antony Perumbavoor.

In a video shared on his social media page, the superstar said that the film, which is the 30th movie produced by Aashirvaad Cinemas, is helmed by Shaji who had also directed the first movie, Narasimham.

"Shaji's heroes are strong and brave. Real heroes are always alone. You will know why when you watch the movie," said Mohanlal, unveiling the title of Alone.

The movie marks the collaboration of the superstar-director duo after 12 years. They had previously worked together in Red Chillies. The upcoming film has Abhinandan Ramanujam, who had also worked with Mohanlal in Bro Daddy, cranking the camera and has Jakes Bejoy handling its music department.

Mohanlal most recently completed the shoot of Jeethu Joseph's mystery-thriller 12th Man, which also has Unni Mukundan, Aditi Ravi, Saiju Kurup, Sshivada and Anu Mohan. The movie, which is also produced by Antony Perumbavoor, will reportedly be a direct-to-OTT release.

Meanwhile, Bro Daddy, which is directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, is also rumoured to be an OTT release with reports of Disney+ Hotstar having acquired its rights doing the rounds. There has not been an official confirmation regarding this by the makers or the streaming platform.

Mohanlal also has B Unnikrishnan's 'mass entertainer' Aaraattu and Priyadarshan's Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham ready for release. The former will reportedly hit theatres in November, with Kerala theatres reopening from October 25.
