Mohanlal has been strictly following a fitness routine for the past few months. The actor has been frequently posting videos of his workout via social media and the latest post is a new picture of the veteran actor, who took to Facebook to share the still. In the picture, the actor can be seen in the attire and demeanour of a boxer. Fans have now become curious about the new look, and they are hopeful of a project which features Mohanlal in a boxer's role.
Recently, Mohanlal shared a video of wherein he is performing back rows with a weight of 100 kg on the barbell. The video went viral, and the actor was lauded for his commitment to the work.
Empuraan and Vrushabha are two upcoming movies of Mohanlal which will have a lot of action sequences. With Empuraan likely to go on floors in September, the actor is currently working on Vrushabha, which is a high-octane action drama that will feature impressive fight sequences and includes Telugu actor Roshan Meka, Shanaya Kapoor, and singer Zahrah S Khan in pivotal roles. The film, helmed by Nanda Kishore, has two timelines and will be released all over the world on more than 4500 screens.
Malaikottai Vaaliban is another upcoming film of the legendary actor, who will once again showcase his flexibility and fitness. The film is touted to be an actioner made on a big scale and there have been rumors in the past about Mohanlal's playing a wrestler in it. In a recent interview, Mohanlal said that the film features action sequences that are unprecedented in Malayalam cinema. He also added the film can be watched as a mass film or even a spiritual one, depending on the taste of the viewers.
Rajinikanth's Jailer, in which Mohanlal essays a cameo role, will hit theatres on August 10. The two stars will be sharing the screen for the first time in this Nelson's action comedy. Along with them the film also features Kannada actor Shiva Raj Kumar, Jackie Shroff, and Ramya Krishnan in pivotal roles.
