Unni Mukundan, who shared screen space with Mohanlal in Jeethu Joseph’s 12thMan recently, took to his social media page on Saturday to wish the superstar on his birthday and thank him for valuable lessons.

The Meppadiyan actor started the post by saying what an honour it has been to collaborate with the veteran star. Unni recently worked with Mohanlal in Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial Bro Daddy and Jeethu’s 12th Man – both of which are currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

He said that working with Mohanlal has made him realise the importance of being surrounded by better actors. “You showed me how not to let superstardom get into my head,” he wrote, adding that Mohanlal was an “undisputed star” who exhibited the eagerness of a newcomer on the sets of his movies.

Unni, who first worked with Mohanlal in the Telugu NTR Jr-starrer Janatha Garage, also pointed out a gesture by the star that will forever remain close to his heart. He said that Mohanlal had stayed awake to wish him on his birthday last year.

“Thank you for making every person on the sets feel like you are his or her best friend,” wrote Unni, adding that he wishes for Mohanlal to attain even more that he has already done in his lifetime. The actor, who is currently working on Shafeekkinte Santosham, ended the post by saying that he was eagerly waiting to watch Mohanlal’s directorial debut Barroz: The Guardian of D’Gama’s Treasure.

Mohanlal has currently wrapped up the India portions of the film and has two more songs pending, which will be shot in Portugal and Bangkok, respectively. The superstar will next resume the shoot of Jeethu’s action-entertainer Ram, which was halted due to the pandemic in 2020. The film also has Trisha and Indrajith Sukumaran as part of its cast.
