The hit duo of Drishyam franchise Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph has reunited again for their forthcoming project. Titled 12th Man, the film is set to be yet another suspense thriller starring Malayalam superstar in the lead role. Now, on the occasion of auspicious Chingam day one, the makers have kickstarted the shoot of the film much to the excitement of the fans. Mohanlal took to his social media pages and shared a few photos from the mahurat.

In the photos, Antony Perumbavoor is seen tapping the clapperboard while Jeethu and Unni Mukundan lit the traditional Kuthu vilakku. They were joined by Priyankar Nair, Rahul Madhav among others.

Mohanlal tweeted the photos stating, "#12ThMan Pooja Photos #JeethuJoseph @antonypbvr @aashirvadcine."

Apart from 12th Man, Mohanlal is also a part of Jeethu's other directorial titled Ram. The shoot of the film is yet to be resumed as a few parts have to be shot in the UK.

During an exclusive interview with OTTPlay, Jeethu had opened up about his upcoming projects. He had said, "I am working on scripts. When I did Detective, there was another thread I wanted to do as a sequel. I have almost finished writing that now."

The ace filmmaker added There are a few Hindi projects that other writers are scripting and I am working with. I also have two projects in Malayalam that a friend will be writing; so, the discussions for those are ongoing. We should be able to resume Ram only after everything returns to normal. Part of it will also be shot in the UK."

Joseph has also helmed the Telugu remake of his recent Malayalam film Drishyam 2: The Resumption which is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

In the Telugu film, Venkatesh, Meena, Nadhiya, Naresh, Kruthika and Esther Anil have reprised their roles from the first instalment.
