Mollywood actress Ahaana Krishna donned the director’s hat for the first time and it turned out to be a beautiful musical video titled Thonnal. The director herself stars in the video, which handles a very earthy concept. It also has soothing music, making the video more appealing.
Ahaana appears to be a chef in the video and the concept is handled in a mild and convincing way, which goes hand-in-hand with the music. The seven-minute video released through Ahaana’s YouTube channel, is composed by the renowned musician Govind Vasantha and penned by Sharfu. The vocals are done by the young singer Haniya Nafisa, who became popular after the excellent covers she has done through her Instagram page.
Within hours of its release, the video has been receiving heartwarming responses and comments. Many hail it as ‘magical’ and appreciate the unique concept. Malayali audiences seem to be proud to see their young actress taking a step ahead and trying her luck in direction too.
The other actors featured in the video are Thennal Abhilash, Fahim Safar, Amith Mohan Rajeswari, Farha Fathahudeen and Rohan Parakkad. Under the production banner of The Tribe Concepts, the cinematography for the musical is done by Nimish Ravi.
