Mohanlal says Nedumudi Venu was like a big brother to him

Deeply saddened by the demise of Nedumudi Venu, superstar Mohanlal says he cannot give a formal tribute to the legendary actor for the personality that he is. He called him 'His Highness' on the sphere of art and wrote in his Facebook post that his memories would never fade from his heart.

The Drishyam actor further said his loss is a big pain for him as he was personally like an older brother to him. "The departure of that great talent who started from the theatre and conquered the Himalayas of natural acting is one of the biggest losses in Malayalam."

The duo has produced several hits together. They include Manichitratazhu, Devaasuram, Thenmavin Kombath and Spadikam. One of the last films of Nedumudi Venu is also with the actor. The epic action film Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham is yet to release.

Nedumudi Venu, who made his debut in films with Thampu directed by Aravindan, passed away on October 11 due to post COVID-19 complications, leaving a huge void in the Malayalam film industry.
